Eid Festival in New Jersey

New Jerseyans from various ethnic backgrounds gathered to celebrate the Eid al-Adha event organized by the Turkish Cultural Center (TCC). This year, the festival coincided with Father’s Day, adding a special touch with various activities.
Approximately three thousand people attended this vibrant event, which also attracted interest from diverse communities across New Jersey.
During the event, a raffle was held where four lucky fathers won various gifts. Young artist Ayhan gave a memorable mini-concert of Turkish music, making it an unforgettable day for attendees.
The festival-like atmosphere was enriched with a variety of flavors ranging from kebabs to gözleme and assorted desserts, delighting the participants.
Under large tents set up beforehand, the Turkish-American community enjoyed hours of socializing together.
Special activities organized for families and children drew significant attention. Children enjoyed play areas, magic shows, bounce houses, cotton candy, and face painting, adding joy and excitement to their festival experience. Some businessmen made the day extra special by giving holiday allowances to all the children, bringing smiles to many faces. American attendees showed particular interest in the food stands, highlighting the culinary delights.
Participants expressed their appreciation for the efforts of organizations that arrange such events. This grand gathering not only reinforced the cultural richness and unity of the Turkish community in New Jersey but also provided an opportunity to build bridges between different cultures.
